HOW TO MAKE YOUR TRIM SHINE


 



Have you ever seen a newly detailed car with dirty or chalky trim? It totally ruins the whole look! Your vehicle’s trim can seem minor, but it makes a huge difference in the overall look of your car. While it may seem intimidating at first, it’s not as hard as it seems. There are a couple of situations that you can encounter when cleaning your trim: a normal maintenance cleaning and the occasional clean up you have to do when you accidentally get product on your trim. Let’s take a look at them in closer detail.
 

NORMAL MAINTENANCE CLEANING

Let’s say that your trim is just dirty from daily driving. It has accumulated dirt, grime, and other road debris from simply driving around. Picking up the kids, getting the groceries, going to school or work- anything can get kicked up and put on your trim. In this case, you can use Nonsense to gently clean your trim. Nonsense is an all-purpose cleaner that you can use on just about anything on your car. If it’s dirty, Nonsense can clean it! What I really love about Nonsense is that it doesn’t have any smell or color, meaning it’s ultra-safe and doesn’t reek when you’re detailing. There’s nothing worse than noxious chemical smells to ruin a perfectly good detail! Simple spray nonsense on a quality microfiber towel, wipe the surface, and then buff to a clean shine. Nonsense can be diluted to your needs, but in general, we recommend using a 10:1 dilution ratio.

HOW TO REMOVE POLISH, WAXES, SEALANTS, AND GLAZES

Now, let’s say you were waxing your car and you accidentally got wax, sealant, or polish on the trim, causing it to turn white. Just an all-purpose cleaner isn’t going to do the trick. In this case, you’re going to want to use Trim Clean, which is specially formulated for those slip ups with finishing products like glazes, sealants, and waxes. Application method is the same, though. Simple spray it on a microfiber towel, and wipe the surface in question. You’ll still want to buff the surface after it’s clean too!
